Instructor profile
Yoko Shida: constitutional law scholar and singer-songwriter. Professor at Musashino Art University, Faculty of Design, and visiting professor at Tokyo Metropolitan University's Faculty of Systems Design.
He presides over the live and talk “Stories of the Constitution Connected with Songs” for citizens based on songs and movies, and is writing and composing his own lyrics as a “singing constitutional scholar” (viewable on YouTube). He testified in court in the Miyazaki Security Unconstitutional Lawsuit. Issues surrounding the notation of “Shima Kosaku” in comic magazines have been continuously posted on internet news, and they continue to actively disseminate them.
His books include “Freedom of Expression to Tomorrow” (Otsuki Shoten), “Cultural Warfare and Constitutional Theory”, “Studying the Constitution through Movies ⒈ 2” (edited by Hobunsha), and “Is Japan Really Preparing for War?” (Co-authored by Otsuki Shoten) and many others.
