Lectures related to the special exhibition “National Theatre Kurakamigata Ukiyo-e Exhibition” to be held from 4/19 (Sat) to 6/22 (Sun). We welcome Hiroko Kitagawa, who is a leading expert in Kamigata Ukiyo-e research, and supervised this exhibition at the National Theatre (Tokyo), and examined and explained the appeal of the Kurakamigata Ukiyo-e Collection at the National Theatre. On the day of the event, I watched the film “The Appeal of Kabuki: Kamigata Kabuki: Japanese Tradition” produced by the National Theatre, and learned about Kabuki and Ukiyo-e, which are rarely seen in Okinawa.
