At a dedication concert commemorating the Gokaicho of Sashima Bando Kannon, they performed Okinawan folk music, nostalgic pop songs, Kannon Kaijo commemorative Kakuriki (Okinawan style sumo wrestling) jinku, etc.
Sashima Bando Kannon Kannon Kaicho (Sashimabando Kannonkaicho) is a Kannon ceremony held once every 12 years at 33 pilgrimage temples centered around the Sashima region (Koga City, Sakai Town, Bando City, Yachiyo Town) and Sekijuku in Noda City in Ibaraki Prefecture. The doors of the Kannon Hall, which are usually closed, are only open during the year of the snake, and the general public can worship Kannon. It is said that it was started in 1725 (Kyoho 10) by an eloquent shonin of Manzoin Temple, and this year marks 300 years.
