Following the “The Man the US Army Feared the Most: His Name Is Kamejiro” (2017/19), which depicts the post-war history of Okinawa, and “Live Shimada Ei - The Last Governor of Okinawa Prefecture during the War” (2021), which depicts war history, the latest documentary film shot by director Sako Tadahiko on the theme of Okinawa. It is a work that traces the indomitable struggle of the two governors who lived by their respective beliefs, Masahide Ota (1990 to 98) and Onaga Takeshi (term of office 2014-18), sheds light on their human appeal, includes valuable testimonies from many people involved in their lives, and cuts into modern Okinawan history. A work commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of Ryukyu Broadcasting Corp. System (Ryukyu Broadcasting Corp. and TBS TV production).
