The Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum is carrying out the “Ryukyu Kingdom Cultural Heritage Accumulation and Reconstruction Project,” which revives handicrafts (craft techniques) from the Ryukyu Kingdom period lost due to modernization and the Battle of Okinawa, etc. with the power of modern science at the highest level, and 65 items, including national treasures, will be restored in Phase I, and 35 will be restored in Phase II. The logo mark and catchphrase that symbolize this project will be announced, and at the same time, talk events will be held with experts on the prospects of handicraft (craft technology) to be elucidated through future research.
