An international exchange festival where Uchinanchu from around the world gather, is held in Uruma City, which also has a long history of immigrants. In addition to being able to enjoy South American song and dance cultural performances by people with roots in Brazil, Peru, etc. living in the prefecture, and cultural performing arts in Uruma City, etc., there are also trial lessons of capoeira and karate, and photo exhibitions of overseas immigrants. There are also about 20 food stalls and kitchen cars that serve South American cuisine and dishes using local ingredients from Uruma City.
