An event related to the “SUDIRU” Book Launch Exhibition to be held from 2.22 (Sat) to 16 (Sun).

A launch event commemorating the publication of the photo collection “SUDIRU” (Akakusha) composed of photographs of Miyakojima's ritualistic events and the island's former activities recorded and taken from the 1970s to the 90s by the late Okamoto Keiaki, who is the chief priest of Miyakojima Shounji Temple and Okinawan folklorist, with works interpreted in the present day by Okamoto's grandson, the artist Shinjo Daichiro, at 2 locations at the same time Held. At THE NORTH FACE STANDARD KYOTO, several indigo and ink works will be exhibited, mainly photographs by Okamoto Keiaki. At Kokyu Kyoto, ink works depicting old Miyako songs on old paper are exhibited. There are also other related events in Hamamatsu and Tokyo.
