On the old 20th New Year (Hachika Sogachi) of 1/20 of the lunar calendar, Shinto rituals to pray for a good harvest and prosperous business, a dedication performance, and an unveiling procession were held at Tsuji in Naha. Currently, Shinto rituals are held on 1/20 of the Old calendar (2/17 in 2025), and the procession is held as the “Juri Horse Festival” in March, and women dressed as juri (geisha) and the like parade through the Tsuji area while dancing.
Also, a display board for the “Tsujimura Ruins” made by the Naha City Museum of History is installed in front of Tsuji's place of worship, so you can learn about Juli's history and lifestyle.
