In Okinawa, there has been a custom of celebrating Kyu-shogatsu (New year on lunar calendar) since ancient times, and it is still carefully handed down in regions where Old calendar events are popular. Events related to the Lunar New Year will also be held at the Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum.
