GuestDJ Matsuura Toshio
DJ/producer who laid the foundation for club culture in Japan as a member of the United Future Organization (U.F.O.) in the 1990s. Since becoming independent from U.F.O. in 2002, he has continued to actively DJ at clubs and festivals around the world, and is one of the world class DJs that Japan is proud of. In 2013, the project “HEX,” which disseminates jazz in its current form, was launched, and the album “HEX” was released worldwide from Blue Note Records. Three unique vocalists, Nakano Yoshie (EGO-WRAPPIN'), Eji Motta, and Grey Revalendo, participated as guests from Japan, the US, and Brazil on the album. In 2018, an album for the new project “TOSHIO MATSUURA GROUP” featuring young musicians from England was released. In 2024/3, the work was re-released as an analog edition by BrownsWood Recordings in England. “TOKYO MOON” (INTERFM FRIDAY 23:00 /ONE JAZZ UK FRIDAY 15:00) is now on air.
