This is his third feature film directed by Teruya Toshiyuki (Garage Sale Gori) for the first time in 6 years since his previous film “Bone Washing,” which received high praise both domestically and internationally. Set on Ie Island, a remote island in Okinawa, this is a “story of family love and forgiveness” drawn with the director's unique view of life and death and laughter.

Synopsis)
Father Satoru (Asano Tadanobu), who lost his wife Machiko (Horiuchi Keiko), suffered from dementia as he grew older. Her daughter, Mika (Matsuda Ruka), doesn't forgive her father who didn't pick up the phone call her mother made asking for help just before her death. After receiving news that the life of her father, Satoru, is in danger, Mika returns to her hometown, Ie Island in Okinawa prefecture, in the midst of suffering. Mika doesn't try to repair her relationship with her father at all, but she is surrounded by nature on the island and while thinking back on the irreplaceable time she spent with her parents, she finds an important diary that her mother wrote during her lifetime. What I learned there was my mother's true feelings, and an “adorable secret” known only to my father and mother...
