First solo exhibition in Okinawa by HAYATO MACHIDA, who has been working on creative activities under the research theme “examination of flat expression with the attribute of minorities” after entering Okinawa Prefectural University of Art Graduate School. Focusing on new works, unpublished past works will also be exhibited.

HAYATO MACHIDA
Born in 1995 in Okinawa Prefecture. Currently studying painting at the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts of Art Graduate School of Art and Design, majoring in environmental modeling.
My paintings are composed of Japanese and American pop culture and subculture, which were deeply influenced by the growth process, as well as elements inherited from local culture, etc., and I reaffirm reality and ideals in painting production.
