Yoshikawa Takahiro profile
Born in Nishinomiya, Hyogo. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed a master's program at the same graduate school. A pianist based in Milan, Italy since 1999. It is often picked up by Italian media, and performances at La Scala in Milan are highly praised by “The Perfect Pianist” (CORRIERE DELLA SERA) and other newspapers.
Since 2006, she has performed many times as a soloist at La Scala in Milan. From 2018 to 2019, they performed slow movements of Mozart's Piano Concertos No. 21 and No. 23 at the ballet performance “Petite Mort” (choreography: Jiri Kilian) (20 performances). Performed as a solo pianist in the 2023 ballet performance “Remanso” (choreography: Nacho Duato) and performed a collection of poetic waltzes composed by Granados (7 performances in total). In the same year, she performed “The Mirror in the Mirror” by Alessandra Ferri and Roberto Bolle with La Scala principal cellist, Alfredo Persichilli for Alessandra Ferri and Roberto Bolle. Recently, in May of this year, they performed Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Milan La Scala Academy Orchestra conducted by David Kolleman (La Scala Academy ballet performance). As for activities in Japan, the piano recital “Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli's Birth” at Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in 2020 was broadcast on BS4K, BS Premium “Classic Club”, and FM “Best of Classics.” In June 2021, he performed “Piano Concerto No. 2” composed by Yoshio Mamiya with the NHK Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yoichi Sugiyama. In 2023/3, they performed Piano Concerto No. 3 composed by Beethoven with the NHK Symphony Orchestra conducted by Toshiaki Umeda at the “2023 Tokyo Metropolitan Art Festival” and was well received.
