This international event began in 1993 in Okinawa City, where people from 45 countries around the world live. In addition to a parade where civic groups and foreign teams living in the city parade through gate streets, and samba carnivals dressed in colorful decorations, there are also music and dance stages, Traditional Performing Arts Okinawan performing arts, Asian/South American folk performing arts stages, and urban sports experiences.
