Polka mice do not live anywhere else in the world other than the northern part of Okinawa Island, Amami Oshima Island, and Tokunoshima, making them the largest family of mice that originally inhabit Japan. Also, it was selected as an endangered class IB in the Ministry of the Environment Red Data Book, and is designated as a national natural monument and a rare domestic wild animal and plant species. This is a lecture where you can listen directly from researchers and deepen your knowledge about pollack mice.
