Saito Akemi profile
Born in 1956 in Kochi Prefecture. (Real name: Matsuyama Akemi) Graduated from Tsuda College. After working as a high school teacher and TV composer, he worked as a reporter for “Weekly Bunshun” for 20 years, and became freelance in 2006. In 1999, she received the Japan Sea Literature Award Encouragement Award for her novel “Ao Yoto.” In 2009, she became the adopted daughter of Matsuyama Zenzo and Takamine Hideko, who had been close friends since their time as Weekly Bunshun reporters. His books include “Takamine Hideko's Unthrown Luggage,” “Takamine Hideko's Style,” and “The Man Takamine Hideko Loved.” Books researching Takamine Hideko have been published, starting with her recent book “Takamine Hideko's Fashionable Style.” He has also reprinted books by Matsuyama and Takamine, and is the representative director of the general foundation “Association Praising One Nugi” by inheriting the wishes of the two.
