Akamine Natsuko
Born in Naha City Okinawa. Began at age 6 under Chikako Maeda from the Hachikan-ryu Ryukyu dance family. 2009 Okinawa Times Art Awards, the highest award in the classical dance category. Received the 2019 Okinawa Times Art Award Encouragement Award. Until now, in addition to appearing in performances hosted by the National Theatre Okinawa, Japan Festival CANADA2018, and the independent performance “Shijo no Mai,” etc., he is also active as a choreographer. Currently, he has established a dance hall in Minato Ward, Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture as a teacher at the Hachikan-ryu Yone Association and is teaching younger generations.

Akamine Maki
