Lecturer: Egami Yoshiyoshi (Professor Emeritus, University of the Ryukyus/Waseda University)
Mikiro Higa, who has successively served as a professor at Ryukyu University, vice governor, Okinawa Development Finance Corporation vice chairman, and president of Busena Resort Co., Ltd., was born in Nago Town in 1931 (Showa 6). An interview survey was conducted with Miyagi Osamu on Higa, who had survived Okinawa after studying in the US during the military period before the war, mobilizing the Battle of Okinawa during the Battle of Okinawa, studying in the US and working for US government agencies, and returning to Japan, and the contents were serialized in the Okinawa Times from February to March this year. He talks about Mikiro Higa as a witness of the times, including his thoughts, proposals, and research for Okinawa.
