Old photographs related to Shuri Castle are picked up from the “Mori Masazo Collection” collected by the Okinawa Churashima Foundation and exhibited. Mori Masazo (1895-1981) is a Ministry of Education technical officer involved in the restoration of cultural properties in Okinawa, and has left many drawings, photographs, manuscripts, and repair materials related to buildings conveying the history of the Ryukyu Kingdom. They are also involved in the repair of the Shureimon Gate carried out in 1936 (Showa 11), and most of the old photographs are thought to be from this period.
