A workshop for elementary school, middle school, and high school teachers to deepen their understanding of Airakuen's history and leprosy issues, think again about discrimination surrounding peace, human rights, and infectious diseases, and serve as a reference for classes. We will hold courses to learn the basics of leprosy and policy history, lectures on leprosy survivors and families, and courses to think about the educational community's responsibility for harm and the significance of teaching leprosy issues. There will also be a course to think about classes using the new prefectural pamphlet “Do you know leprosy” for upper grades of elementary school.

Capacity：25 participants at the venue

Intended audience：Elementary, middle, and high school teachers in Okinawa Prefecture (non-teachers are also allowed to participate)
