The Gwangju Museum of Art has been holding exhibitions in overseas cities every year since 2012 with the aim of introducing works by artists based in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do to the international stage and providing opportunities for extensive mutual exchange.
This year, an exhibition on the theme of “history and peace” by 8 artists from Jeonnam Gwangju and 6 artists from Okinawa will be held at the Sakima Art Museum in Okinawa Prefecture.
