Three coverage writers from Okinawa and Tokyo talk about the skills “interview and coverage ability” necessary for future writers. “Interview and coverage skills” are useful in various situations, not to mention going to get factual information (primary information). If it is an interview, it also plays a role of “listening ability” to listen carefully, “questioning ability” to delve into the story, and “organizing the other person's thoughts” like a counselor. By doing “coverage” carefully and reliably, you can acquire “task schedule management” and “flexible anticipatory reading ability,” and train strong thinking and mentality even when dealing with irregularities. We will talk about why demand for coverage writers is high, what kind of situations it is useful to acquire interview and coverage skills, and what is important in “interviews and coverage.”
