Komiya Yukina
Born in Okinawa in 1987. After studying ceramics at Okinawa Prefectural University of Art and graduating from graduate school, he went to Taiwan in 2014 to begin production. Works with pigeons and guns as motifs were presented at “Chimera Okinawa Heterosomorphism” (2020/Gallery Okinawa) held during the pandemic. Since then, works have been exhibited at “Departure from 'Me' with Ryukyu's Profile” (2021/Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum), 2023 NEXT ART TAINAN (Daishin Art Museum/Taiwan), and Matsu Biennale 2023 (Matsu Island/Taiwan). A solo exhibition is scheduled at Nahato (Naha Culture and Arts Theater) in August this year.
