On 1959/6/30, a US military jet fighter crashed and burst into flames in a residential area in Ishikawa City (now Uruma City), crashed into a classroom at Miyamori Elementary School, causing many casualties among residents and school children. The screening of the film “Himawari,” which is depicted by linking that incident to the US military helicopter crash incident at Okinawa International University that occurred in 2012, and a lecture by Hisataka Masashi, the representative of the Ishikawa/Miyamori 630th Association, who has carried out activities to tell the story of the incident.
