We learn about community development that enhances well-being from Nobuyuki Ohata, who served as the human development promotion superintendent in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, where results have been achieved from a sense of crisis that was also listed on the local government list of “cities likely to disappear.” Also, through the introduction of efforts and panel discussions by students from the previous year of the Naha Civic Cooperative Graduate School, they will have fun while deepening their learning about the Nanaha Citizen Cooperative Graduate School.

Oohata Nobuyuki (Oohata Nobuyuki)
Born in 1962 in Masuda, Shimane Prefecture. Chairman of the NPO corporation Omusubi. social educator.
Former Shimane Prefecture Masuda City Board of Education Human Development Promotion Superintendent.
Experienced in various fields, 18 years as a teacher (8 years in elementary school, 10 years in junior high school) and 20 years in social education administration.
In order to promote “sustainable community development,” various policies were developed by putting social education at the core of the city's policies, and various policies were developed. Currently, efforts are under way to network NPO corporations, etc. in order to improve civic power.

Part 2 About the Naha Citizens' Cooperative Graduate School
After explaining the outline of Naha Civic Cooperation Graduate School 2024 and presenting the initiatives planned by the students in the previous year and subsequent activities, discussions on “sustainable community development” will be held with Mr. Ohata.
