This month's showcase is the music label “Off Note (Off Note),” which was established in 1994. Offnote is an important label where the representative Kamiya Kazuyoshi has continued to introduce creative music that has evolved into Creole and has lived around Japan's music culture for over 20 years, such as Okinawa, Chindong, free jazz, and folk music. In addition to “Off Note,” they also have many sub-labels, such as “Kasyusha,” “Misora Records,” and “Disc Cover Banner.” Most of those CDs are valuable and cannot be listened to even on streaming services. Also, books have been published as “Ourasha,” and recently they have launched “Furai Gabo,” and are also producing and selling “Monthly Picture Postcard Fushin” by manga artist Tadao Tsuge.
