Shimada Masahiko (writer)
Born in 1961 in Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Department of Russian Language. Professor at Hosei University Faculty of Intercultural Studies. While attending college, she debuted with “Happy Song for Kind Sayoku.” He received the Noma Bungei Rookie Award for “Music for the Sleepy Kingdom,” the Izumi Kyoka Literature Award for “Higan Sensei,” the Ito Sei Literature Award for “Decadent Sisters,” the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Art Encouragement Award for “Daughter of Chaos,” the Mainichi Publishing Culture Award for “Little Man's Star,” and the Yomiuri Literature Award for “When You Were a Heretic.” In 2022, he received the Purple Ribbon Medal. He has been a member of the Akutagawa Prize selection committee since '10.
