Meiwa Electric is an art unit formed in 1993 by Nobumichi Tosa. In the 30 years since it was formed, numerous “nonsense (supercommon sense) machines” have exploded into the world. In particular, the adorable electronic instrument “Otamatone” in the shape of a musical note has attracted attention from around the world, and viewers are engulfed in a whirlpool of surprise and laughter. In this exhibition, we will trace the trajectory of Meiwa Electric up until now, and generously introduce Tosa's creative “ideas” and the secrets of his ability to create ideas into reality along with valuable materials. A gallery talk called a “product briefing session” where the president himself talks about his work, and a super creative thought seminar for business people,
Events such as special live performances will also be held.
