Lecturers: Tatsuya Heijo (Amami Municipal Amami Museum) /Yoshie Kanao (Okinawa Zoo & Museum)
The Ryukyu Islands have been registered as a World Natural Heritage Site, and they have a wonderful natural environment that can only be found here. I will talk about the natural mammal “Amami black rabbit,” on the theme of the food chain. After the lecture, I will make my own handkerchief while thinking about the environment in which Amami black rabbits live. Curator Heijo from the Amami Municipal Amami Museum will visit Okinawa Zoo & Museum and hold the event in collaboration with Okinawa Zoo & Museum staff.
