This symposium, which has continued every year since 2004, was suspended due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, but a marching group from South Korea participated in the 5.15 Peace March, and the symposium will be held for the first time in 5 years.
Symposium Theme 1 “The Korean War and US Military Bases Offshore (Japan)”

The Korean War is still ongoing (1953 Armistice Agreement). The US military in Okinawa is under the umbrella of the United Nations Command in Korea, and peace-building between Korea and Asia is essential for the withdrawal of US forces!
