A training course for curators who can work as “guides who convey play” at the Yambaru Mori Toy Museum and mobile toy museums (wooden caravans) held all over the prefecture.
Yambaru Mori Toy Museum
The Yambaru Forest Toy Museum in Kunigami Village is a museum promoting tree education surrounded by a forest that is a World Natural Heritage Site. Opened in 2014. Everyone can play with wooden toys. It is scheduled to reopen in early summer 2025.
Toy curator
It's like a bridge connecting toys and people, and people to people. If you take this course, you will be certified as a toy curator, and you will be able to do volunteer activities in the museum. More than 100 toy curators (period 1 to 4) have already registered at the Yambaru Mori Toy Museum, and they are active every day.
