The musical drama “Katsuren Mizuwari wa Shintoyo,” which marks the end of the Ryukyu Taxi East Coast Trilogy, will be performed. Momoto, the wife of Amawari, the lord of Katsuren Castle, is kidnapped by someone. The Amawari brothers travel in search of Momoto. Is it possible to recapture Momoto safely with the cooperation of Shinagawa monkeys and old firewood pickers? Why is Amawari's younger brother Mizuwari so thin? It's a great spectacle where the Indian epic “Ramayana,” the children's story “Momotaro,” the group dance “Flower Seller's Enemy,” and “Banzai Enemy Examination,” etc. are packed and developed by riding Shostakovich's works, Okinawan folk music, Ryukyuan classical music, and dance songs. Other performances include Uchinaguchi rakugo “Eel Dance,” which is set at Katsuren's eel shop, and peace prayer sound art.
