A live music concert co-hosted by pianist Kuribayashi Sumire and Miyakojima-born saxophonist Ikemura Marino. The background to the concert that was realized at Ikemura's invitation this time is that the two of them, who are the same age, begin at a cultural exchange event training camp held on Ishigaki Island 3 years ago. Ikemura says, “Even though it was our first encounter, they resonated so primitive through each instrument that they couldn't be verbalized.” Ikemura has been familiar with Kuribayashi Hideaki's performances since he was a student, and this coincidence led to this solo piano concert.

●Sumire Kuribayashi
Pianist Kuribayashi Sumire, who grew up listening to the koto of her father, Kuribayashi Hideaki, who is an Ikuta-ryu koto player, has captivated many audiences with her unique tone and unconventional performances. Their overseas activities are also remarkable, such as actively performing and recording in European countries, starting with leader performances in London, and their 1st album won the Disc Grand Prix New Star Award in 2014, graced the cover in 2018 Jazz Life magazine, and the album “I Will Touch You” was selected as the 2021 100 Best Italian Jazz Albums. The unique rhythm spun out of the fusion of respect for our ancestors and a wide range of musicality can be experienced through the piano.
