A popular program where both adults and children can easily experience traditional Okinawan performing arts such as Ryukyu dance and group dance. What will be performed this time is a new cabaret drama by Kakazu Michihiko, which is an arrangement of the folktale “Kachikachi Mountain” in the Uchina version. Audiences can bring percussion instruments (percussion, tambourine) or something to replace a drum and two drums (empty box, pot, 2 wrap sticks, chopsticks, etc.) from their homes and participate in the performance from the audience seats (participation by clapping hands is also OK).

In addition to the main part, Ryukyu dances such as creative dances “Parranque” and “Parasol Dance” will also be performed on the stage. Also, the dance “Takeshi no Mai,” which has plenty of elements of “martial arts,” is a highlight not only for its majestic movements, but also for its powerful taiko performances.
