A masterpiece chair born from Japanese sensitivities that pursues “as much as possible”
The “Nychair X (Nychair X),” which has a space of about 1 tatami, allows you to carry a comfortable seat anywhere you like, is a chair characterized by being compact and comfortable to sit on. When it was released in 1970, while large box furniture called wedding furniture was the main force in Japan, designer Takeshi Arai was moved by the Danish AX chair and continued making folding chairs. The Knee Chair X, which was born in pursuit of “as much as possible,” “with as few parts as possible,” “with as few packaging costs as possible,” “at the lowest possible price,” and “as comfortable as possible to sit on,” etc., is a masterpiece chair born from the sensitivities of Japanese people that thought through the living environment and export costs at the time.

During the exhibition, carefully selected parts that make up the Knee Chair X will be exhibited, and designer Takeshi Arai will introduce designs and ideas that he has carefully selected over his lifetime as “a Japanese masterpiece chair that continues to be loved like curry and rice.” They also rent Niechers for free.
