Contents
There are two types of wildcats in Japan: the Tsushima leopard cat (the local name is “torayama”), which lives in Tsushima in Nagasaki prefecture, and the Iriomote cat, which lives on Iriomote Island in Okinawa prefecture. On “Torayama Day” on 10/8, we will hold an event where you can learn about these two types of wildcats.
11:30/14:00 (30 minutes each) “Tsushima leopard cat and Iriomote cat story” by Masako Izawa (director of the Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and History)
15:00-15:15 A story about wildcats by a keeper
In addition to the above, quizzes, games, face painting, coloring books, questionnaires, wildcat mask making, etc. will be conducted during the opening hours.
