Exactly 100 years ago, in 1923, Ito Chuta, who left a big mark on Okinawan culture research, and Kamakura Yoshitaro met and began joint research. The two people who prevented the demolition of Shuri Castle in 1924 were recognized for their achievements, and obtained permission to investigate places and things related to the royal family, starting with Shuri Castle, from people involved in the Shoke family. Since then, full-scale research has begun, and the obtained research records and collections played a major role in cultural revival after the war. In this course, we will introduce the footprints of research while sharing the collections of the former collections of both families handed down in the museum.
