Kanenobu Sachiko is a pioneer of Japanese female singer-songwriters, is also known as “Japan's Joni Mitchell,” and is famous overseas as the “Japanese first singer-songwriter.” In 1972, she left behind the famous album “Mi Sora,” which heralded the dawn of city pop, and the hidden masterpiece “Fork In The Road,” which she recorded like a demo tape at a private studio in Izu in the summer of 1998, was boldly reproduced by Makoto Kubota with support from Daichi Ito, ASA-CHANG, and Geometric Pattern members, and released it on 10/25. The analog edition (release date 11/15) has been licensed out to Tough Vinyl, and it is planned to be developed domestically and internationally. The CD “Mi Sora” will also be reproduced on the same day.

From November to December, Kanenobu, who lives in America, will also go on a Japan tour for the first time in 4 years. In Okinawa, it will be held in Miyako Island on 12/4 and in Ginowan on 12/5.

12/4 (Mon) Miyako Island Pali Gallery
12/5 (Tue) Ginowan City City/CAFE UNIZON

Music producer/dub engineer/DJ based in Koza. The album “Mystic Islands Dub,” which is a dub-mix of the sound sources of traditional Okinawan songs, was released by Nippon Columbia on 11/3 and made a major debut.
