On the day of the event, there will be an exhibition about Indonesia and a gamelan concert (13:00 to 13:15) in the lobby in front of the main Large Hall.
On Okinawa Island, a music and entertainment appreciation exchange was held for the first time in Yaeyama, hosted by the Okinawa-Indonesia Friendship Association, which has been supporting Indonesians living in Okinawa and interacting with the community for over 30 years. There are over 100 Indonesians living in Yaeyama. Until now, there has been almost no understanding or exchange of cultures with each other, and there may be many people who appreciate Balinese dance for the first time, but both Balinese dance and Yaeyama dance have in common that they express prayers to the gods and gratitude for a good harvest through rituals and dances. Balinese dance and Yaeyama dance are performed mutually to deepen mutual understanding and exchange.
