There are many events unique to Okinawa, such as Obon and Seammy, and the food eaten during them is deeply linked to Okinawan history and culture. Furthermore, in Okinawa, crops that match the climate are produced as local specialties, and anniversaries named after local specialties are determined.
For this exhibition, we created a “Masan Calendar” summarizing anniversaries and events in Okinawa. While looking at this calendar, you can learn about Okinawan food culture that is surprisingly unknown.
