From Okinawa, the Ryukyu National Independent Research Society and the Ginowan Chura Water Association participated in the 16th United Nations Expert Organization on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) held at the United Nations Geneva Secretariat in Switzerland. In this symposium, EMRIP participants will be invited as panelists to report on presentations, government responses, lobbying activities, holding side events, exchanges with other indigenous peoples, etc., and report on challenges, results, issues, and future activity developments felt through the United Nations Activity Report.
