At the 5th limestone regional symposium, with the theme of “characteristics of limestone regions and relationships with people,” we will grasp the actual state of the “strengths” and “weaknesses” of limestone regions and highlight the characteristics of limestone regions using topics such as hydrological characteristics, agricultural land use, use as tourism resources, etc. Also, in the general discussion, discussions with “the viewpoint of thinking about how to face limestone for the future” are planned as one pillar, and measures to overcome “weaknesses” by further utilizing the “strengths” of limestone regions for the future will be discussed.
