SAWAI Mariko (Sawai Mariko)
Common name: “Omari.” singer. Ryukyuan classical music Yasufuzo-ryu flute teacher. Ryukyuan classical music player. moderator. Born in Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture. 1997 Takamatsu “FM Marino” personality. Utilizing the experience of stage actresses and JAZZ/POPS singers, she performed live performances using various methods of expression, but she was fascinated by Ryukyuan classical music and studied music at Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts. Learn the history and cultural background of the Sanshin (Three-string guitar) and flute performances and Okinawan performing arts comprehensively. Graduated in the spring of 2012.
Musical activities: The theme is expressive activities that transcend genres, such as the fusion of Okinawan and other music, the fusion of Ryukyu classical and Western classical music, and the fusion of music and other forms of expression.
Local music activities: Responsible for the region (flute) with the “Theater Company Unai” (formerly Otohime Theater Company), which boasts a 50-year tradition of Okinawan play.
Reading aloud, moderating, etc.: They read picture books aloud, read Okinawan folklore aloud, and read aloud activities about war experiences. Both come with live music. I'm also in the moderator business.

The origin of the name “Omari”
I formed the unit “Mari Mari's” with my partner “Komari,” and was in charge of live activities and radio programs. Sawai was slightly taller, so they started calling themselves “Omari.”
