A project related to “Famous Audio Things Around” held from 3/29 to 5/29.

Amiko Hina, the representative director of Famous Audio, and Banana Concept Inc., which uses well-known audio speakers at various events Representative Director Iwao Nakasone will be invited as a guest, and while actually listening to the sound of “TINA AUDIO,” we will dig deep into the appeal of well-known audio sounds from various angles, from easy-to-understand sound stories, the background of famous audio manufacturing, and future prospects. The talk event will also be streamed on D&DEpartmentOKINAWA's official Instagram and YouTube.

● The area around famous audio stuff

Well-known Audio is an audio manufacturer founded in 1975 and is a family owned audio manufacturer that performs everything from manufacturing to sales. The founder, Hiroshi Kana, developed “TINA AUDIO” after long days of research, exploring the essence of sound, saying “I want to bring sound closer to live performance and convey emotion.” Okinawan music culture has been supported in Okinawa City and the town of Koza, where American culture and Okinawan culture are mixed, and music culture such as rock, folk, and jazz has taken root.

Well-known audio products eliminate sound distortion through patented design and electric welding incorporating wavelengths into the design, and by using 360-degree speakers, they are made so that realistic sound in the ear can be heard anywhere in the room, even in a compact size. The well-known audio technology that “reproduces real sound” rather than “making sound” is Long Life Design, which has continued to be loved since its establishment. Currently, the appeal of sound is conveyed in various forms, such as reusing parts of discarded used products as art works.

In this exhibition, in addition to the history and background of such famous audio manufacturing, we will also introduce upcycle activities currently being worked on. Also, together with “Banana Concept Inc.,” which conveys the sound of famous audio at various events, we will approach the future expansion of famous audio from the obsession with the sound of famous audio. In the gallery, a showroom made by Hiroshi Kana, where you can listen to and compare audio by type, will also be recreated, and playlists recommended by people involved in well-known audio will also be introduced.
