Origami Productions is a music label that requires artists blessed with individuality and talent, such as Shingo Suzuki, Mabanua, Sekiguchi Shingo (above Ovall), Kan Sano, Hiro-a-key, and Michael Kaneko. Yoshiaki Tsushima, who serves as CEO, has introduced music of genres that have been difficult to sell in Japan, such as “a wide range of musicality centered around black music but where genres are not determined” and “performances with strong improvisation,” to the world using various methods, and is expanding his field of activity in many directions with the lightness of footwork unique to independent, such as artist management and event production centered on music labels.
In this lecture, we will talk about hints about how Tsushima himself faces music with what kind of consciousness he has and how he is expanding his field of activity as a label production.
