In hiphop and R&B, they performed with A Tribe Cold Quest and J. Cole, and in jazz, they performed with Mark Juliana, Robert Glassper, and Ben Williams. Until now, BIGYUKI is a keyboardist living in New York who transcends genres and is active in the American music scene, having participated in 2 works that won No. 1 in the US for the first time as a Japanese person, and is active in the American music scene.
BIGYUKI Profile
I learned piano from age 6, and after graduating from high school, I entered Berklee College of Music in the US. After advancing to NY, he joined the band Talib Kweli and Bilal, and also performed with Robert Glassper in Bilal's band. They participated in each album released by A Tribe Called Quest and J. Cole in 2016, and since both works won 1st place in the US, they achieved the achievement of being the first Japanese to participate in 2 works No. 1 in the US. Currently, he is touring around the world with artists who are active in a genre-less way, such as Antonio Sanchez and José James, while participating in festivals in Japan, America, and Europe as a solo artist, and has released Neon Chapter from Universal Music. In recent years, the range of artist activities has expanded, such as composing and producing “Tsubasa,” which Awitch created to wish for peace in Okinawa.

Born in 1979 in Naha City Okinawa Prefecture. He learned violin and piano from an early age. Entered Berklee College of Music in 1998. After graduation, he began professional activities based in Boston. Performed with many musicians such as David Fiucyzinski, Uehara Hiromi, and Sam Kininger. He performed in Shanghai, China from 2004 to 2005, and moved his base to America again in 2006. Moved to Tokyo in 2009. Performed with JUJU, Full of Mondays, MIURA Daichi, Naoto Inti Raimi, Hanaregumi, Yu Sakai, Nao Yoshioka, Sarah Olaine, etc. He is also active as a music director, producer, and arranger. The base was moved to Berlin, Germany in 2015. After 4 years of activity, he returned to Okinawa in 2019. Currently, in Okinawa, they are also directing music businesses in parallel with their performance activities.
