An event commemorating the release of a book culminating what Kakazu Shomei, who walked through Okinawa after the war, saw, thought, and acted, from his wanderings in 13 Asian countries he visited in the 1960s, to his feelings for his respected father, numerous recommendations made during his time as a politician, and the Shimada Ei Honor Project with an eye on the future.

Kakazu Noriaki (Kakazu Noriaki)
Born on 1942 5/3 in Naha City. Graduated from International Christian University (ICU) in '66. Chairman of the Naha Youth Chamber in 1980. 1981 Okinawa Prefecture Promotion and Development Council expert committee member, President and CEO of Okinawa Kyoei Sangyo Co., Ltd. He was elected as a member of the Okinawa Prefecture Assembly for the first time in 1984 (4 terms thereafter), and successively held positions such as secretary general and chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Okinawa Branch Federation. Okinawa Prefecture cashier in 2001. Vice Governor of Okinawa Prefecture in 2004. 2007 President and CEO of Naha Airport Building Co., Ltd. Chairman of the 2015 Shimada Ei Deeds Honoring Period Seikai. Chairman of the 2020 film “The Tower of Shimamori” production committee.
