“Military supplies” were delivered from all over the world to the Russia-Ukraine war, and there are no signs of convergence. In Asia, the degree of tension is increasing in international situations such as the relationship between China and Taiwan and North Korea. After the Battle of Okinawa, in Okinawa, where a vast US military base has been imposed, the danger and horror are conveyed with a sense of skin. After the Battle of Okinawa was over, the philosophy of “Nuchidu Takara (life is a treasure)” was deepened with a desperate thought that “life” is the most important thing for humans in Okinawa. However, the world is about to follow the same path again. Now in such a situation, an exhibition “Thinking More Deeply About War” has been composed through 71 works in the Sakima Art Museum's collection.
