The National Theatre Okinawa has been conducting kumiodori training since 2005 (2005) in order to train the successors of kumiodori which was founded during the Ryukyu Kingdom period. The training period is 3 years, and so far a total of 48 people from the first to the fifth period have completed the kumiodori training and are active on the Okinawan traditional performing arts stage. Since 2011 (2011), training for established persons has also been conducted to improve the skills of those who have completed kumiodori training, and performances by young support recipients (established person training presentations) have been performed. Twenty-four kumiodori training graduates will perform at this year's 12th Youth Helper Performance (established person training presentation). Among the performers, there are many people who have experience in leading role classes at performances hosted by the National Theatre Okinawa. You can appreciate the stage of young helpers who will be responsible for the future of Okinawan traditional performing arts, kumiodori.

When Yamato, the son of Namihira Daishu, stopped by Namihira Tamagawa on his way home from cherry blossom viewing at Mt. Senaga and tried to drink water, his beautiful daughter Tamatsu was washing her hair. Attracted by the beauty of Tamatsu, Yamato professed his love and asked Tamatsu for hand water in the sense of accepting it. Yamato managed to drink hand water, a love blossomed between the two, and they swore a reunion and parted ways. Then one night, when Yamato sneaked into Tamatsu's house and had a secret meeting, he was found by the gatekeeper, and his father knew about it.
