On August 9, Showa 20, the United States Army aircraft B29, which invaded Nagasaki, dropped an atomic bomb from an altitude of 9,600 meters in the Urakami district in the northern part of the city. The atomic bomb suspended from a parachute descended to around 500 meters above the ground and exploded at 11:2 a.m. It was fine on the day, quite hot and almost windless.
